Dr. Jackson:
I grew up in Hampton, a small town in South Carolina, the sixth of seven
children. I was fortunate to go to Clemson and earn a Chemistry degree in
1975. I had known for years that I wanted a career in healthcare, so I attended
the Medical University of South Carolina Dental College in Charleston and
graduated in 1981. After a general practice residency at MUSC, I came to Columbia
and opened my practice in July, 1982.
I am a member of The Greater Columbia Dental Society, The South Carolina Dental Association, and The American Dental Association. I am also a member of the American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry and a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. I am proud to be a graduate of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, a world-renowned school for continuing dental studies and education. I am one of their top graduates in South Carolina.
I have been in practice for over twenty years and have seen the great changes that technology has brought about. The greatest change however, has been the emergence of the aesthetic practice. Aesthetic dentistry has given me the greatest pleasure since I have been in dentistry. It is a great feeling to have my patients excited about the results of their makeovers. It changes their lives and enriches my own.
Also enriching my life, are my wife Ginger, three daughters, one son and a granddaughter. While they keep me busy, I also find time for my hobbies, Clemson Sports and amateur photography.
