How Invisalign Works

First, we’ll sit down with you to plan out what you’d like to change about the alignment of your teeth and how Invisalign can help. Next, we’ll take digital impressions of your teeth, which we’ll send off to a lab so they can create your aligner trays. You’ll wear each set of trays for a couple of weeks and then swap them out for the next set in the series. Each tray is specifically designed to gently shift your teeth into a certain position, so you’ll be able to see your smile getting straighter and straighter as you make your way through your treatment. Every six weeks or so we’ll bring you into our office for a quick check-in and to hand you your next sets of trays.

Benefits of Invisalign Clear Aligners

There are plenty of different benefits when it comes to Invisalign clear aligners. Here are some of the main reasons why patients end up choosing this orthodontic treatment:

  • Barely Noticeable Appearance — Invisalign aligners are clear, which means that many people won’t even be able to tell when you’re wearing them. You won’t have to feel self conscious about showing your teeth during your treatment.
  • Completely Removable — Unlike with braces, which are attached to your teeth, Invisalign aligners can be taken in and out. This allows you to continue brushing and flossing like normal, no special tools or techniques required. It also means no food restrictions!
  • Smooth Material — The aligners are made from smooth, BPA-free plastic so they won’t potentially irritate your cheeks, gums, and teeth like the brackets and wires of braces might.
