Meet Dr. Philip Jackson
Dr. Philip Jackson grew up one of seven children in the small town of Hampton. He knew for years that a career in health care was his calling, and he’s truly passionate about helping patients have their best smiles and relieving their discomfort.
After receiving his chemistry degree from Clemson University, he went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree and complete his General Practice residency at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). Dr. Jackson then moved to Columbia to open his own practice.
Instilled with a love of learning from an early age, Dr. Jackson enjoys furthering his knowledge of dentistry by attending continuing education classes and keeping up with the latest industry research. He has seen a lot of great changes in dental technology and techniques and has enjoyed incorporating them into The Smile Studio to benefit his patients. Dr. Jackson is a member of the following organizations:
Dr. Jackson and his wife, Ginger, love spending time with their big family that includes their four wonderful children: Rebekah, Rachel, Kenzie, and Hunter; his daughter-in-law; two sons-in-law; and nine grandchildren. It’s quite a crowd when all 18 get together! He also enjoys photography and loves his Clemson sports teams.Make Appointment with Dr. Jackson
Carol – Dental Hygienist
Carol was born on a military base in Frankfurt, Germany and is one of six children. She followed her mother’s footsteps and received her B.S. degree (summa cum laude) in dental hygiene from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. Her dental career includes a variety of dental settings, from a periodontal office to a general practitioner office to a stint as a fluoride sales representative for Sherer Laboratories.
Carol has been a dental hygienist at The Smile Studio since 1995. After 20+ years, she still loves coming into the office every day and considers both the staff and patients as part of her extended family. She takes great pride in providing the highest quality care in a compassionate and professional manner.
Carol married her high school sweetheart, Chuck, and they have three children: Danny, Chase, and Connie. Outside of the office, Carol is a swim coach and has spent over 13 years coaching at White Knoll High School and over nine years volunteering as a coach for Special Olympics. She also enjoys sailing with her husband, reading, and, most of all, spending time with her family.
Pam – Dental Hygienist
Pam grew up having horrible dental experiences, and after several years of searching, she found a great dentist and hygienist who were kind, patient, and eased her fear. That’s when she discovered her calling as a dental hygienist. Pam has been a hygienist for over 20 years and has spent the last six years at The Smile Studio.
Pam grew up and currently lives in Elgin, SC and graduated from Midlands Technical College. She stays busy with her two beautiful daughters who are involved in many activities: softball, gymnastics, and skating, just to name a few. Family and her church are very important to her. She spends a lot of time with her daughters doing what girls do best – shopping and staying involved with her church.
Angie – Insurance Coordinator
Angie is originally from Dallas, TX but has lived in Lexington for over 11 years. When she isn’t working, she and her husband stay busy with their daughter, Rilee. Angie enjoys spending time with her family and going to the University of South Carolina football and baseball games.
Stacey – Billing Specialist
Stacey was born in Columbia and grew up in the Irmo/Chapin area where she currently still resides. She has been with Dr. Jackson at The Smile Studio for over four years.
The love of her life is her son, Zachary, who keeps her busy and active with all of his extracurricular activities. Fall and spring are especially busy being spent at Zachary’s football and baseball games. When she’s not at The Smile Studio, Stacey enjoys being outdoors shooting guns, fishing, and four-wheeling. She is also a Harley Davidson rider and loves riding through the mountains.
Wendy – Dental Assistant
Wendy is a Columbia native. She received her certification as a Dental Assistant from Midland Technical College and has been with The Smile Studio since 2004.
She is a proud mother of two grown sons, Brandon and Nicholas. Her family and faith are very important to her, and she is actively involved at New Spring Church.
Wendy loves the outdoors and goes to the coast as much as she can. She is also a local concert goer and enjoys the music scene in the Columbia area.
Nicole – Treatment Coordinator
Originally from Maryland, Nicole moved south to attend the University of South Carolina and she hasn’t left since. She has been working at The Smile Studio since 2001 and has enjoyed seeing the practice grow throughout the years. Nicole feels lucky to be able to say she has so many patients that she now calls friends.
Nicole and her husband, Mike, are proud parents to three children: two girls and a boy. In her free time, she enjoys working out and attending sporting events. On the weekends, Nicole can be found on her boat on Lake Murray with her family and friends.
